What Do We Teach?
2026-27 Schedule
High School Literature & Writing, 8:00 - 9:30 AM.
High school English encourages students to engage in critical analysis, creative writing, and in-depth discussions to develop their understanding of language and literature, working towards longer papers (5-7 pages) and projects towards the end of the year. We always focus on reading a lot of full classic texts over the year, as opposed to excerpts or YA fiction.
We run a combined class for all high schoolers.
Karate, 9:40 - 11:10 AM
A class in the traditional martial art Tang Soo Do (Korean Karate) with master instructor Andrew O'Brien. Learn physical skills like punching and kicking; the hows and whys of striking, self defense, sparring, and artistic routines (forms); and play the games everyone loves (foxtails, shoulder tag, one step, etc.) to cement those skills. Classes are "all ranks," so senior students lead by example and set the standard for discipline and training.
